London Pride this year is on Saturday 5 July, and London bisexuals will be marching in the parade. We've also got a stall in the rally at Trafalgar Square (near the Fourth Plinth - come and say 'hi!').
Update: meet for the parade 12:30 at the junction of Baker Street and Dorset Street (streetmap) (Google maps - also see below).
In the parade, we'll be wearing purple in support of bisexual visibility, as well as carrying a couple of banners, and there should be quite a crowd of us amidst the community floats.
Please join us, and help make bisexuality visible!
Because it's one of the unofficial bisexual colours, one of the colours in the bisexual flag, and for the boringly practical reason that our banners are purple.
Having a big crowd of people walking along all wearing the same colour gives a kind of cohesion to the group, and helps make us look more than two people carrying a banner. If you don't have any purple to wear, please come along anyway and we'll give you a purple hat to wear. Or just bulk out the crowd - if you're marching with a bunch of purple-wearing people, everyone will think you're bisexual anyway.
We'll be meeting up for the parade at 12:30 at the junction of Baker Street and Dorset Street (see map below). On past experience, we may be moved a little, depending on which other groups turn up, so if you can't immediately see us, walk towards the front of the parade until you find us. We'll be wearing purple, and have the London Bisexuals banner with us.
The rally in Trafalgar Square runs fron 2 - 8 pm, although most people usually head off home around 6pm.
